Mercury is the planet of communication of all kinds, the links and connections which keep us alert and aware of what is going on around us. Mercury is the light in our eyes, the energy and interests that keeps information, via news, messages, messengers, small talk, and of course gossip, circulating through us. Mercury is about more than just awareness and intellect; it also relates to how we learn. And so, whether it is learning we acquire as students, apprentices, or disciples, it refers to anything that can be used as a way to point out, enhance, and circulate our awareness.
